Privacy Policy

Eyeline Teleprompter (“Eyeline”) is made by Canopus Labs Ltd. In short: Eyeline collects no data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and Eyeline has no servers of its own. Nothing you write, record or say in the app is sent to us.

What stays on your iPhone

• Your scripts are stored on your iPhone, inside the app, and in your iPhone’s own backups if you make them. Deleting the app deletes them.
• Your settings (text size, speed, which camera to start with and similar) are stored in the app’s own preferences on your iPhone.

Camera, microphone and Photos

Eyeline uses the camera only while you are recording in the app, and the microphone only while you are recording or while voice-follow is listening (below). Each recording is saved to your photo library, for which Eyeline asks only for permission to add photos and videos: it cannot see or read your library. If your library syncs with iCloud Photos, that is handled by Apple under Apple’s terms.

Voice-follow

Voice-follow, part of Eyeline Pro, scrolls your script as you read it aloud. It listens only while it is turned on and your script is playing in the studio. What you say is recognised by Apple’s speech recognition on your iPhone, matched with your script to find your place, and then discarded: it is not stored, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else. The first time you use it, iOS downloads Apple’s speech model for your script’s language from Apple, once.

Purchases

Eyeline Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment, and we receive no personal or payment details. The app checks your purchases with Apple’s StoreKit on your iPhone. Apple’s privacy policy applies to purchases.

Notifications

If you start a free trial and choose to be reminded, Eyeline schedules one local notification on your iPhone two days before the trial ends. No push service is involved and nothing leaves your device.

Children

Eyeline is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no data from anyone.
